Since 1974, World Environment Day has been celebrated globally on June 5 every year. This year's theme is "Ecosystem Restoration", which coincides with Veolia's strategy of ecological transformation.
Therefore, Veolia China is launching a photography contest for World Environment Day 2021, with the theme #Ecological Transformation Around Us. Please submit your photos capturing ecological transformation moments, and perhaps you will be the one to win the prize!

Theme of our activity: What I did to contribute to ecological transformation
Veolia has been putting the concept of ecological transformation into practice in order to protect the environment. We are all now both the creators of ecological transformation and the witnesses of it.
Wherever you are, there are many things around you that can lead you in the direction of an eco-friendly transformation. In the context of World Environment Day, please submit your photos with the theme of the Veolia Photography Contest (#Ecological Transformation Around Us) with the requirements.

Details about the submissions of your photographs
Photographs’ requirements
- Pictures must be taken after January 2021 and must be original: no addition, subtraction or synthesis from the original image.
- Pictures should be submitted in JPG format, no more than 30MBs; watermarks and submissions should be no more than 3.
- The introduction of your photograph(10-150 words) and your personal information will be uploaded through Google Form/Questionnaire.com.
- Photographs should have basic information such as location, and introduction.
- Your photograph should not involve content that is illegal.
- Entries must not be photographs that have already won any awards.
Photographs’ Selection
- The photographs will be divided according to the selected theme and selected by category.
- Preliminary selection: The judicial team will consist of Veolia employees, executives and a professional photographer (Zhang Songtao, the author of the dog-headed cattle shot).
- Re-selection: The finalists' works will be divided into three groups and the best popularity prize will be selected by public voting. The judging team will select the final winner of each group within 1-2 weeks.
- Results Announcement: Finally, the selected winners will be announced on Veolia's WeChat account. The best photograph will be displayed on Veolia's WeChat account and other official channels.
Instructions for participation
- Participants own the copyright of their photographs and should not infringe on the copyright, portrait right, reputation right, privacy right and any other rights of others.
- Participants should retain the original EXIF information and original images of their works. In case of disputes over intellectual property rights, the organizer has the right to disqualify the works from the award.
- If the prize winner can not be reached by the organizer within the validity period of time, this could be taken as the participant having voluntarily given up the prize.
- If the photos submitted by the participant violate the relevant laws and regulations, the organizer has the right to request the participant to assume any liabilities.
- Participants own the perpetual copyright of their submitted photographs, and the organizer has the right to use their works for online display without any payment.
- Veolia reserves the right to interpret this activity within the permission by law.
