United Kingdom - Brent Council awards Veolia Environnement £142.3 million waste management contract
Veolia Environnement has been awarded the nine-year public realm contract by Brent Council, which will start in April 2014. The contract is valued at £142.3 million and has an option to extend for a further seven years.
Nantes Métropole selects Veolia to upgrade its La Roche water production plant
The Nantes Métropole local government authority has selected Veolia to upgrade the La Roche water production plant and make supply more reliable for the close to 600,000 people served. The contract is worth 64.5 million euros for the consortium headed by Veolia subsidiary OTV.
Industrial equipment and network cleaning and maintenance
Veolia ensures the proper operation of its industrial clients’ production base while helping boost productivity by cleaning, maintaining and repairing equipment. The strict respect of working schedules along with proper equipment maintenance minimizes production line downtime and maximizes the recycling of raw materials.
Groupe SEB, Veolia and Eco-systèmes team up to recycle small electrical household appliances
The Groupe SEB, Veolia and Eco-systèmes develop first partnership which creates a complete circular economy cycle for small household appliances: the waste collected by Eco-systèmes is recovered by Veolia as recycled raw material, which is then used by Groupe SEB to manufacture new appliances sold in stores. The first concrete application is a steam generator.
World Economic Forum – The Circulars: Veolia receives two awards for its commitment to the circular economy
At the opening of the World Economic Forum , the "Circulars Awards 2016" ceremony presented Veolia with two awards for its contributions to developing the circular economy: the Group received the first prize in the "Multinational" category, tied with Philips, and Estelle Brachlianoff, Senior Vice President UK and Ireland, won second place in the "Leadership" category.
More Green Earth Workshops Held at Veolia Facilities
Another 3 Green Earth Workshops were held between last November and January this year at Veolia facilities following the first workshop at HKDC.
Veolia Sponsors Green Power Hike for Another Year
14 hike teams sponsored by Veolia took part at the 26th Annual Green Power Hike held on the 12th January this year. The hike this year has drawn more than 3000 participants and raised more than HKD$5 million dollars in support of the hike organizer Green Power’s dedication to continuous environmental education.
Banner Upcycling Workshop Held Successfully
Veolia has invited Memories Factories, a local green organisation to hold a upcycling workshop for employees at the new office on 25 January.
First Green Earth Workshop Held at HKDC
The first Green Earth workshop organized by Veolia’s Sustainable Development Department was held on 23 November 2018 at the Hong Kong Kai Tak District Cooling System (KTDCS). About 40 employees from HKDC attended the workshop, with the topic “Climate Change and Renewable Energy” shared by Mr. Edwin Lau, Founder & Executive Director of The Green Earth.
